The Association of Tour Operators (ATO) is the industry association that regroups operators from the accommodation sector operating under different type of licenses, for instance hotels, bungalows, tourist residences, and guest houses from the Tourism Authority. The association’s objective is to ensure that guests to have a wide range of different accommodation types to choose from and to satisfy the needs of their budgets. Standards have been developed to help clients reach a satisfaction level equal to what they have spent. Visitors can choose to stay in resorts, as well as have the choice to stay at budgeted hotels and other quality standard accommodation depending on the travel group size, individual desires, and wishes of small group and families.
The largest Inbound tour operators are regrouped with the Association of Inbound Operators (Mauritius) AIOM.
