Bologna
In the Emilia-Romagna region, forming the broad corridor (Po Valley) between the cold Alps on the North and the hot Mediterranean South. It is one of the most prosp.erous regions with rich agriculture, historical cities and booming industry. It is a gastronomic centre with Parma ham and Parmesan cheese originally from this area. Bologna, Modena (home of Pavarotti) Parma and Ferrara are the some of the most important centres in this region.
Tuscany
This area holds some of Italy’s most famous artistic treasures together with the beautiful countryside and many medieval villages. It is a heaven where past and present merge. The countryside is filled with vineyards and olive groves together with quaint farmhouses, fortified villas and Middle Age castles. Picture the classic Tuscan countryside with rolling hills of Chianti and dotted with Cypress trees.
