Sunday lunch at Emily Moon Restaurant overlooking the Bitou River outside Plettenberg Bay turned out to be a very positive experience. We were lucky enough to still get a table at short notice. They offer a selected set menu for Sunday lunch at a very reasonable R135 per person (3 course).
Starter choice of: Greek salad (with a twist), Prawn & cheese spring rolls or a roasted tomato soup
Main choice of: Linefish (angel fish), pork chop, stuffed chicken breast
Dessert choice of: Crème brulee, pannacotta, fruit pavlova or ice cream & chocolate sauce
The restaurant, although noisy, has a great vibe with great views and good wine to compliment the meal. We enjoyed a crisp limited edition Chenin Blanc from Maison Estate (owner Chris Weylandt)
Contrary to previous experience in the area, they offered excellent service which is a great advantage for the busy December holidays.
Emily Moon also offers accommodation in 9 modern and trendy styled rooms, all overlooking the Bitou River.
